Morning Fog and Sunrise

A couple days ago, I went to Lake Elmo (a local nature park) to try and take some bird photos. It didn't go that well. The mosquitoes were horrendous and the birds weren't emerging from their hiding places as I had hoped they would. Despite those unpropitious conditions, there was one pro about the trip: the effulgent fog.

Isn't that almost Lothlorien like?

And then this past Saturday morning there was an illustrious sunrise (don't even ask me why I was up early enough to see a sunrise on a Saturday morning. :P).

The view from my bedroom window.

And then the view from, yes, the roof. :P

I don't think I had ever seen a sunrise like that before in my life... A sunset, sure. But a sunRISE?

  1. These pictures are really cool! I love the fog as well as the sunrise... but really, how many sunrises do you wake up for anyway? maybe 3 days a week they look like that but you miss it because you don't get up at sunrise everyday :P.

  2. I've been having to get up at 6 every morning for school and one of the highlights has been seeing the sunrise. God is so good to make the sunrise and shout out his name in a wonderful way even when most people aren't awake for it! :)

  3. I thought I already commented on this when it first came out? Apparently it didn't go through. :| Anyways, I really like your morning ground fog pictures. And I see the sun rise and set everyday too. =P
